For finer processes of material removal like grinding and honing, a finer filtration level is required. If fluid is not filtered to the desired level, particles leave marks on the surface. Normal gravity filters cannot achieve the required filtration level and often have high media consumption.

Vacuum filter systems in coolant filtration are designed to handle large volumes of fluid while delivering high-performance filtration. These systems operate on the principle of vacuum-assisted filtration, where a powerful suction source pulls contaminated coolant through a filter media, typically a disposable or permanent belt filter. Clean coolant is then returned to the machine’s sump or distributed through a centralized supply system. Cleaner coolant reduces abrasive wear on tooling and improves surface finishes, while also extending cutting tool life and reducing the frequency of coolant replacement and disposal costs.
